What you are seeing here is the web version of Sweepstakes News.
Sweepstakesnews.com was launched on Friday, August 25, 2000, as
a paid subscription site. The next version of Sweepstakes News will
debut sometime in late 2000 as a newspaper supplement. That print
version will publish once a month and a list of the newspapers carrying
Sweepstakes News will be posted on the free portion of our web site.
The web version will be much more detailed with over 5 times the
sweepstakes listings and editorial, plus archives.
Our mission here at Sweepstakes News is to become the largest and
most respected reporting service for the sweepstakes industry. Our
goal is simple: for $24.95 a year, 14 months is our current special,
sweepstakes aficionados receive the most comprehensive and easy
to read sweepstakes editorial available on the web. The web site
will always be updated once a week, and in many cases, as newsbreaks,
daily. We will list at least 100 alternate entry listings that are
current, along with top feature stories and news. And we won't bug
you with e-mails or sell your name to outside groups. Simply log
on and begin surfing around our easy to navigate site. We even made
it virtually advertising free so you won't be confused as to what
is an ad and what is editorial.
Sweepstakes News was originally based in Key Biscayne, Florida,
and run only as a newspaper delivered supplement. That was in 1995.
Prior to that, it was on the radio in the form of The National Sweepstakes
Show. Some of us that worked on that project are back again, with
our goal to make Sweepstakes News a household name. Now with the
speed of the web, we are able to make updates whenever it's necessary
and keep our readers constantly informed. And, we have re-created
some of the radio show on our sister site, which is completely free,
www.nationalsweepstakesshow.com. We will also list the 200 plus
radio stations, here on Sweepstake News, when the sweepstakes vignettes
begin running nationwide.
Sweepstakes News is based in Houston, Texas and is majority-owned
by JVWeb, Inc. a publicly traded company. JVWeb also has interests
in a number of other web-based businesses. For further information
on JVWeb, please go to our web site, www.jvweb.com. Naturally, we
value what our readers think, so please feel free to e-mail us any
questions, comments or criticisms at ncoston@jvweb.com and we promise
to get back to you as soon as we can.
